Known for Quality Construction
GHEMM Company has operated as Interior Alaska’s premier commercial general contractor since 1952. GHEMM began when five long time Alaskans merged their talents, resources, and arctic business savvy to form a successful heavy equipment business in Fairbanks. Since 1959, GHEMM has operated as a general construction contractor, maintaining its office in Fairbanks, doing work throughout the interior and northern regions of Alaska.
Over the past 70 years GHEMM has successfully completed construction projects ranging from smaller renovation and tenant improvement projects to industrial infrastructure projects, multi-storied new buildings for hotels, restaurants, commercial office space, auto dealerships, medical and educational facilities.
We are known for our quality of construction and our cooperative nature; we value our deep roots in Interior Alaska and the relationships we have built with all its residents.
